Desktop Support Analyst

Battaglia Distributing is seeking a full-time Desktop Support Analyst to assist with day-to-day Support operations. The ideal candidate will be a well-organized, highly motivated self-starter that is capable of properly prioritizing their workload and delivering viable solutions in a timely manner. The position may require occasional weekend work, as is necessary to support our user base, correct system abnormalities, or deploy new technologies.

Position Summary

• Full-Time, On-site ( 40 hrs/week )
• Available Monday thru Friday for first shift
• Available for occassional weekend work
• Available for afterhours support
• Must be able to lift 50 lbs
• Must be authorized to work in the United States
• Compensation: Salary ( commensurate with experience )

Duties and Responsibilities

• Provides in-person or telephone-based technical support on a variety of hardware and software platforms to local and remote clients
• Troubleshoots and resolves hardware and software issues
• Services and supports the desktop computing environment including installation, upgrading, repair, replacement, and warranty fulfillment of software and hardware systems
• Ensures that all required documentation is kept current, and that all incidents are logged in the company’s ticketing system
• Responds to email, telephone, and trouble ticket submissions in a timely and courteous manner
• Conducts preventative maintenance on hardware and software systems
• Conducts employee training as necessary
• Additional duties as required

Requisite Skills

• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Some college preferred
• 1-2 years of Desktop Support experience
• Experience with Windows 10/11 Operating Systems
• Experience with all versions of Microsoft Office
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Excellent problem solving and critical thinking skills
• Excellent customer service skills and a friendly demeanor
• Must be able to effectively prioritize and manage workload
• Self-starter – able to work with minimal supervision

Job Description

As a Dispatch Professional, you will maintain contact with our Fleet to document any changes occurring during delivery, as well as answer customer inquiries regarding their delivery. Additionally, you will field calls and interact with office staff if a driver needs any type of authorization while on the road. Contact with Sales and Warehouse staff may be needed to thoroughly complete documents daily.

We are seeking a responsible candidate who is honest and reliable, and who can work independently, as well as interact with others in a professional manner.

Hours of operation for this position are Monday - Friday 9am-6pm
